What does HCC do?

Healthy Cattaraugus County is comprised of several committees:
  • General Committee
  • Executive Committee
  • Strategic Planning Committee
  • Media & Marketing Committee
  • Data & Assessment Committee
  • Ad-hoc Committees (as needed)
Information on the duties and responsibilities of these committees and an organizational flow chart can be found in the HCC Orientation. 

Initiatives:
  • Provide education to schools and the community on a variety of topics to include: vaping, youth alcohol and marijuana prevention, signs of teen use, and much more
  • Partner with local Law Enforcement for additional patrols, checks, and other activities to prevent youth substance use
  • Participate in the annual Youth Summit 
  • Provide the Prevention Needs Assessment Survey to participating Cattaraugus County schools every two years
  • Provide annual youth substance use prevention contests for Cattaraugus County students
  • Provide social media campaigns
