We need your help!

If you are interested in attending our monthly HCC General Coalition Meetings, receiving coalition updates such as our Newsletter or becoming an active member participating in various committees, campaigns, or activities please contact Tara Estright, Community Coalition Coordinator at testright@councilonaddiction.org.

We have members from the following 12 sectors of the community:
  • Youth
  • Parents
  • Business Community
  • Media
  • Schools
  • Youth-Serving Organizations
  • Law Enforcement Agencies
  • Religious or Fraternal Organizations
  • Civic and Volunteer Groups

  • Other Organizations (involved in reducing substance abuse)

Members who would like to be considered “active” sign a Coalition Involvement Agreement for their chosen sector. Duration of commitment is typically for 1-year and requires attendance to at least one General Committee Meeting every six months as well as serving on at least one sub-committee.

Activity Tracking

We are constantly collecting data, and some of the important information that we collect is what activities our coalition members are doing.  This is also necessary information that we are required to collect for our bi-annual Progress Reports.  The following link is to our “Activity Tracker” and can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HCCActivities2018:
SUBMIT NEW activity
Countable activities for members are those that are directly related to a particular coalition initiative or those that you may participate in within your own agency or sector that help to work toward HCC’s goals in preventing substance use among Cattaraugus County Youth.  This can be any event or initiative that promotes safe, healthy, substance-free alternatives for local youth.

For more information on activities please refer to the HCC orientation above.
